Welcoming VOLUXIS and First Officer Darren Williams

Aviation is built on ambition, dedication and long-term relationships. Occasionally, those elements come together to create a moment that is particularly memorable.

Recently, Aviation Park Group was pleased to welcome VOLUXIS to Hawarden Airport (EGNR) as their Embraer Legacy 500, G-HAPA, arrived on a charter flight through our facilities.

The Legacy 500 is a modern business jet designed for performance, comfort and efficiency, making it a familiar sight at leading business aviation destinations across Europe. It was a pleasure to support the aircraft, passengers and crew during their visit to Hawarden.

What made this arrival especially significant for the Aviation Park Group team was a familiar face on the flight deck.
The flight was operated by First Officer Darren Williams, who worked at Aviation Park Group between 2013 and 2018. During his time with APG, Darren was a valued member of the team and, like many people working within the aviation industry, had his sights firmly set on a future career in the cockpit.

First Officer, Darren Williams

Returning to Hawarden years later as a professional pilot operating a sophisticated business jet was a proud moment for everyone who knows him.

Aviation careers rarely follow a straightforward path. Success requires commitment, training and determination over many years. Darren’s return is a reminder of what can be achieved through hard work and perseverance, and it was rewarding for the team to see someone who started part of their journey at Aviation Park Group realise their ambition.
Hawarden Airport has long been a place where aviation careers begin, develop and thrive. From pilots and engineers to ground handling specialists and aviation businesses, the airport continues to play an important role in supporting the wider aviation community across North Wales and the North West.

We would like to thank VOLUXIS for choosing Aviation Park Group and Hawarden Airport for this operation. We appreciate the opportunity to support their visit and look forward to welcoming their aircraft and crews back in the future.
Most importantly, congratulations to Darren on his achievements. Seeing him return to Hawarden in the flight deck of G-HAPA was a moment that the entire team was proud to witness.
